I didn't intend for this to be anything.

 

In the summer of 2012, we all went to Sunset Beach, VA. Five vans full of Kis, Lees, and Ohs. A family reunion of sorts. We rented a lodge full of bunk beds. Half the time, it rained.

 

Stanley wasn't feeling well. His face was swollen, eyes pinched tight. Lethargic, he spent most of the weekend asleep. This was the last summer we spent together.

 

Five months later and my little cousin was dead.
